Congratulation to Doug Owen from Devil’s Glen Country Club for winning the 2011 World Cup Club trip.
Doug and his wife Paula were thrilled to hear the news and admitted that due to their busy schedule with both boys in the Swiss Chalet K1 Individual series they will delay their trip to the Rockies until April. They will enjoy 3 days, 4 nights in the Banff Lake Louise area with return airfare and hotel covered by the World Cup Club. The Owen family has been members at Devil’s Glen for the past eight years and members of the World Cup Club since 2007, contributing $1/day for the past four years – thank you!

Patrick is a recipient of World Cup Club assistance which has allowed him to pursue his dream racing on the World Cup circuit. Patrick will compete in World Cup SL this coming season - watch for him this weekend in the Val d'Isere, France SL. Pat has an awesome website, BLOG and takes one heck of a video! A Time for Renewal: The WCC now it is sixth year has been instrumental in assisting Ontario athletes on “The Path to Excellence” from the grass roots level to the elite. I am writing to thank you for being a member of the World Cup Club and to remind you to renew your membership in 2010. Remember every dollar donated to the skiers of Ontario is given a full value tax receipt.
If you have already renewed your membership recently, thank you for your continuing support and please ignore this request.
Why give back? Sport does much more that put kids on the podium – it promotes healthy, outdoor activity; it gives kids and teens confidence, and a sense of purpose; it leads to jobs upon retirement from competition and can lead to a lifetime of activity. A donation to the World Cup Club supports Ontario Ski racing including athletes, coaches, Divisions and ski club programs who can apply for funding. WCC members should recognize that many AOA Skills Camps, Coaching Clinics and Athlete Bursaries are possible because of your donations of just $1/day (less than a coffee a day, much much less if you go to Starbucks!)
How to renew? You can renew or join the WORLD CUP CLUB by completing one of the following:
• Mailing a cheque to World Cup Club c/o Alpine Ontario Alpin, at the address below, or
• Faxing your updated credit card details with a short note indicating renewal to the AOA office @ 705-444-5116, or
• Calling us Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (705) 444-5111x132
• Email a request to update your account to admin@wcupclub.com
